Meet Our Newest Board Member, David Halliburton: A Shepherd to the Wounded

I (Amanda) met David and his wife, Elizabeth, at a leadership training in 2017. At the time, I was living in Kansas City, while they were in Kalispell, Montana—a place I had moved from just a year earlier. Small world! We quickly bonded over our shared love for the Big Sky Country and our mutual heartache for those in the church who struggle with same-sex attraction and other forms of sexual sin and brokenness.

David Halliburton is the Community Pastor at Hope Church in Kalispell, Montana. With 35 years of pastoral experience serving three churches, he currently oversees and facilitates community outreach and the Living Waters program. He trains, empowers, and mobilizes leaders, builds effective teams, and guides individuals toward personal healing in Christ..

Having experienced sexual abuse as a child and having overcome an addiction to pornography, his passion is to walk alongside the brokenhearted, engaging with their stories of captivity and inviting Jesus’s healing power to set them free.

David and his wife, Elizabeth, also served with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for six years in Family Ministries. Out of this passion, TrueNorth 406 Ministries was born, where David serves as co-founder and President of the Board of Directors. The ministry exists to share the hope, freedom, and transformation David has personally experienced and to provide a safe place for that healing work to continue.

David has been married to Elizabeth for 35 years. They have four grown children and two incredible daughters-in-law.
