Director of Missions
Amanda Dennis

Amanda has a passionate vision for seeing an awakening in the LGBTQ community. Identifying as gay, she believed that God had made a mistake creating her as a woman and lived in opposition and defiance toward the Lord for the first half of her life. Her life changed one night seventeen years ago in an unexpected, radical encounter with Jesus that tore out the heart of stone in her and gave her a heart of flesh.
Since that night, Amanda’s walk with the Lord has been a love story of healing, hope, and transformation. Today, she lives the calling that Christ has given her to be a living example of one who intimately understands the transformational power of the Father’s hands when wrapped around a completely broken, vulnerable heart. She has a passion for the Church and desires to see the Church become a safe, healing place for those seeking repentance and a supportive Christian community.
Amanda brings extensive ministerial and practical experience to Homecoming Global. As a former minister in the Care and Counseling department of her church and having experience serving with non-profits, she has faithfully walked alongside individuals seeking healing from sexual and relational brokenness. Her ministry has spanned church planting, evangelism, community outreach, and training church leaders to facilitate healing groups across the United States and Asia with a focus on issues of sexuality and relationships. With Homecoming Global, she has served as a missionary for HomeComing Global in 3 countries in Asia with both inperson visits and ongoing support on Zoom. Amanda’s unique combination of expertise and compassion makes her an integral part of this mission.
Amanda resides in the Midwest with her husband, two German Shepherds, and a Doberman. She enjoys outdoor activities, cycling, and quality time with her family and pets. She is an avid listener of podcasts and audiobooks, a coffee enthusiast, and loves building relationships within her Christian community. Amanda is thrilled to continue in this expanded role with Homecoming Global and has great hope for what God is up to.
